Replace Missing Teeth with Comfortable, Natural-Looking Dentures

If you've lost teeth through natural aging or injury, removable dentures can be an excellent solution. These custom-made dental prostheses replace missing teeth and can be taken in and out of your mouth at your leisure. Thanks to modern technology, today's dentures look and feel more realistic than ever before. While they take some time to get used to, they function almost as well as natural teeth.

Two Main Types of Dentures

We offer both full dentures and partial dentures, each with several options to meet your specific needs.

Full Dentures

Immediate Dentures: Temporary dentures placed right after tooth extraction. Because your gums naturally shrink after teeth are removed, these dentures serve as a temporary solution until you're ready for permanent ones.

Conventional Full Dentures: Permanent dentures carefully crafted to look and feel like your own natural teeth. These long-lasting replacements are designed to appear as natural as possible.

Implant-Supported Overdentures: Dentures supported by dental implants for better comfort and stability. The implants help keep your dentures securely in place, with the upper jaw typically requiring more implants than the lower.

Fixed Dentures: Non-removable dentures held in place by implants. With fixed dentures, you won't have to worry about them slipping while eating or talking.

Partial Dentures

Transitional Partial Dentures: Temporary dentures worn after a tooth extraction while your mouth heals. Once healing is complete, you'll be ready for permanent implants. These are a relatively inexpensive option.

Removable Partial Dentures (RPDs): More durable than conventional dentures, RPDs feature a well-constructed metal base made of vitallium. This makes them lighter and more comfortable on your gums, though they cost a bit more.

How Dentures Work

Both full and partial dentures consist of a natural gum-colored base made from plastic resin. This base sits on the alveolar bone ridge—the area where your teeth were once held. The dentures create a gentle suctioning effect to stay in place. Proper fitting is essential so your dentures maintain their position while you eat and speak. Your mouth's nerves and ligaments will need time to adjust, but they'll retrain themselves to function properly with your new dentures.

Common questions
How long does it take to get used to dentures?+

Most people need a few weeks to adjust to wearing dentures. Your mouth's nerves and ligaments will retrain themselves over time. Any initial discomfort or difficulty speaking and eating typically improves as you get used to them.

What is the difference between full and partial dentures?+

Full dentures replace all of your teeth on the upper or lower jaw, while partial dentures replace only some missing teeth. Partial dentures are used when you still have some healthy natural teeth remaining.

Can I sleep with my dentures in?+

While you can wear dentures overnight, most dentists recommend removing them at night to give your gums a chance to rest and to clean the dentures thoroughly. We'll provide specific care instructions based on your type of dentures.
