Sealants
Protective coatings applied to molars and premolars to shield deep grooves from decay. A quick, painless procedure that helps prevent cavities in children and adults.

Examination
We examine your teeth to identify molars and premolars with deep grooves that would benefit from sealant protection.
Cleaning and Preparation
The tooth surface is thoroughly cleaned and prepared so the sealant can bond properly.
Application
The liquid sealant is carefully painted onto the chewing surface of each tooth, flowing into the grooves and pits.
Bonding
The sealant quickly bonds and hardens, forming a smooth protective shield over the enamel that lasts for years.
Are sealants only for children?+
No. While children and teenagers are the most common candidates because their newly erupted molars are most vulnerable, adults without decay or fillings on their molars can also benefit from sealants.
Does getting sealants hurt?+
Not at all. The application is quick, easy, and completely painless. There is no drilling or removal of tooth structure. The sealant is simply painted on and bonded to the tooth surface.
How long do sealants last?+
Sealants can last many years with proper care. We will check them during your regular dental visits and can reapply new sealants if needed as you age.
